I only say squandered in light of experiencing Real Ale Nirvana (at least outside the UK) in the form of 2MT Forrester cask stylee. What a change from the insipid bottled version! Anywhere else I would relish OSH by hand-pump, but the 2MT ruined me. Preachers is ace, I’m only sad I didn’t find it till the last night of my Hobart stay. It reminded me of The (sadly missed) Lambs Go Bar in Melbourne, which used to be my favourite local place. If I’m ever down there again, Preachers’ staff better look sharp!

So the New Sydney and Knoppies don’t have handpumps from 2MT anymore — shame :(

And Preachers looks like it must be the building where the fish restaurant (Whites?) used to be. A good alternative use if you ask me.
