I agree with you there, Jeremy. I am not normally a fan of Heineken at all, but have had it from a couple of Heineken mini-kegs over recent years and enjoyed it more than the local green bottle version. I have never experienced Amsterdam brewed Heineken, so can’t make any comparison there.

In my experience, Heineken from the 5L mini-kegs is far superior to the bottled product — both local and imported — and draught Australian Heineken. Actually I found that the mino-keg beer tastes almost identical to draught Heineken in Amsterdam. Far from my favourite style of beer, but very drinkable when fresh.
