To support the introduction of the new SABMiller Quality Standards, a newly created opportunity has now opened up within our Abbotsford Brewery for a Laboratory Technician — Flavour Stability Specialist. This role will be carrying out specific flavour stability quality control and investigative quality assurance services to ensure the continuous improvement of our products.
Accountabilities of this role include:
- Conduct specific flavour stability quality control and investigative quality assurance analysis
- Establish baseline performance and support implementation of improvement activities
- Provide recommendations to improve product quality
- Liaise with brewers regarding in-process/ final product
- Escalate Results that could significantly impact quality
- Optimise equipment capability & performance by maintaining IQ/OQ/PQ processes
We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified applicants with the following:
- Degree qualified in Science
- Sound scientific/analytical skills
- Proficient in use of IT
- Knowledge of quality standards and processes, including appropriate use of Laboratory equipment
- Knowledge of calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Expertise in following standard methods of analysis
Ideally you are Graduate qualified and have a research based background to develop and manage process trials. You should be an organised individual with a high work ethic and exceptional problem solving skills.
