Tusk goes national

FERAL_TUSK_Logo_A4The Brews News bunker just had a call from Steve at Feral to say that not only are they about to release Tusk, Feral’s Imperial IPA, for the first time since 2006, but they are sending a limited supply nationally.

Head Brewer, Brendan Varis, is a notorious fresh freak and is very cautious about sending his hop bombs across the Nullarbor. However, late yesterday as they were planning to keg off the Tusk run, sales manager Steve Finney managed to convince Brendan to show the east some love.

“Brendan believes IPA really has to be fresh,” Steve said. “But as we had pallets heading over on refrigerated trains today anyway, I managed to work out with some of our regular hotels and distributors a deal: they could have one keg each, if the distributor promised to collect it as soon as it arrived and the hotel to put it on as soon as it got to them.”

The upshot is, Perth will see it hitting bars any minute now.Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne – watch out for Tusk coming cold to a bar near you soon.
