Sip and Savour comes to Sydney

Sip And Savour, Australia’s newest craft beer experience, will be held at the heritage listed Carriageworks on 25th and 26th October this year.

The event is acollaboration between leading festival organisers who have joined forces and are pleased to announce the inaugural festival will be a fitting close to Sydney’s Craft Beer Week this spring.

Australian Beer Ambassadors and BEST Australia, the creative minds behind leading craft beer festivals in Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania, believe the timing is right to create an event tailored for the most vibrant market in the country.

Event photo for Sip and Savour Sydney eventDirector of Australian Beer Ambassadors Kieran Blood said Sydney-siders have embraced craft beer and this event will celebrate the craftsmanship, artistry and passion that goes into its creation.

“It will promote and encourage awareness, appreciation and understanding while delivering a cultural experience befitting of the great space.

“Carriageworks is ideal! The historic and heritage venue is a home, an inspiration for the development of creative work and the perfect location to showcase the very artisan nature behind craft brewing”, he said.

Craft beer festivals have been taking over event spaces nationwide, popping up year round to offer the palates of beer enthusiasts a selection of new and unique ales and lagers for sampling. An ever-expanding industry, craft beer has been rapidly making its way into beer lovers’ hearts and refrigerators over the past few years, replacing six packs of Tooheys with artisanal IPAs.

James Harding of Best Australia and Co Festival Director, said the aim is to create an event that aficionados, converts and the uninitiated alike can enjoy. Over 200 boutique beers and ciders together with an experience that stimulates more than just taste buds and engages on a sensory and intellectual level.

“We’re looking forward to fusing the craft of brewing with the inspired talents of emerging and seasoned artists, musicians, photographers and filmmakers”, he said.

The day guarantees to open your mind to the many facets of craft beer. Attend one of the free seminars with some of the country’s most knowledgeable industry professionals, presenting across-the-board topics from how to match beer and food, brew your own craft beer right through to learning what’s required to start your own brewery.

Even if beer specifically isn’t your thing, there is still plenty for you – discover a world away from beer where craft beer culture takes a back seat to a variety of culinary delights, inspiring art and great live entertainment.

Festival organisers wish to assure patrons the festival will be a relaxed and friendly environment with families catered for including activities for the kids. We believe in responsible drinking and do not promote mass consumption.
