Janet Hollyoak, Redoak co-founder says “we’re delighted to be recognised for our dining experience which is a reflection of the dedication and passion of our staff.”

“It’s a tough competition as it aims to differentiate the best from the best. We are proud of the team we have pulled together who thrive on giving customers the best dining experience possible. Our brewers are also setting the bar high, and it’s fantastic to see our food and service being recognised as well.”

Redoak Boutique Beer Cafe will now compete with other region finalists at the National Savour AustraliaTM Restaurant & Catering HOSTPLUS Awards for Excellence to be held at Melbourne on Monday 27th October 2014.

The Restaurant & Catering Awards

Over 250 local caterers, restaurant and café operators were judged across 35 categories for the awards held at Darling Island Wharf, Sydney.

The Awards for Excellence is the most dependable and authoritative guide to Australia’s best restaurants and caterers, which sets the national benchmark for objectively recognising and promoting best practice. In its 16th year, the competition is judged by a team of trained judges who anonymously visit the venues to determine the winners. Scores are based on the entire dining experience of that one judge on a specific evening.

Restaurant & Catering CEO John Hart says, “The winners should be proud that they have been judged and rigorously reviewed in one of the most objective awards systems, which looks at the entire dining experience, rather than a single food or service dimension”.

Restaurant & Catering Australia represents thousands of restaurant and catering businesses operating across Australia. Each year about 1,500 members are reviewed in the Awards for Excellence, which is not only a great promotional and accreditation program for businesses, but also assists consumers in identifying some stand out establishments.

Redoak talking about how good Redoak is again.

It’s like reading an editorial from The Australian.

Meanwhile, most serious beer drinkers find stepping foot in the place an exercise in comedy, condescension and exploitation.
