Brewsvegas - Brisbane's craft culture exposed, beer by beer
In very exciting news for beer culture in Brisbane, a number of Brisbane best craft beer bars are banding together to create a celebration of craft beer and collaboration for all things creative next March. The announcement is only just being made today, but the event is planned as a grassroots festival. Brewsvegas – Brisbane’s craft culture exposed, beer by beer

Brewsvegas is a grass roots, community minded celebration of Brisbane’s burgeoning craft beer culture set to take place in late March, 2014. We aim to promote innovation, creativity and collaboration to help nurture and grow a local beer scene already replete with passionate contributors.
We’re very fortunate that at this point in history Brisbane is an incredibly exciting and dynamic city to call home. In just a few short years we’ve seen the birth and growth of the small bar that has changed and revitalised the way we share a drink with friends.
This evolution has pushed craft beer into more and more venues across the city, small and large, and exposed thousands of people to the idea that there is more to beer than cold, yellow and fizzy.
The team behind Brewsvegas hail from some of Brisbane’s smallest and biggest craft beer venues, restaurants and breweries. Brewsvegas’ primary aim is to introduce as many people as possible to the joy of better beer, and to celebrate the scene serving that purpose every day of the year.
Venues and breweries will be encouraged to take part in the weeklong festival by hosting events that champion good beer and Brisbane’s unique identity as a city and community. To this end collaboration with other industries will be strongly encouraged as a means to connect with the diverse wealth of creative and entrepreneurial flair that makes Brisbane a vibrant new world city.
Throughout human history beer has proved a highly efficacious social melting pot and in that spirit we look forward to branching out and engaging with many different facets of Brisbane’s culture.
From venues to punters, distributors and bloggers, brewers and purveyors of produce we are a community resplendent with love for good beer and its role in bringing us all together.
