Dickens Ciderhouse, located at 22 Montpelier Retreat, Battery Point in Tasmania is offered for sale complete with full fit out, plenty of stock and cider production equipment.

Montpelier Retreat is connected to Salamanca Place, which is the water front entertainment centre of Hobart.

Dickens Cider Pty Ltd was incorporated in 2009 by John Dickens, Aishia Haubrich and Corey Baker The company is now owned by John Dickens alone. The company produces 4 varieties of Cider and 1 Perry.

The company inventory includes all equipment necessary for the continued production of Cider. The Hobart Ciderhouse was established in February 2014 with the aim of providing an urban cellar door experience for Dickens Cider and other local craft cider producers.

The fit out is rustic, making use of recycled materials from an old apple shed and an old apple sorter both from the Tamar valley region. The venue is becoming known for its warm atmosphere and personal service, with live music three nights a week, comedy & story nights once a month a local following is growing rapidly Tasmania recently developed both a Whisky and Cider Trail targeted at the buoyant tourist industry. Dickens Cider as a member of the Cider Trail actively supports both Trails, with many local Ciders and all the Whisky we can get our hands on!

We also carry local wines and local craft beers. All products in the bar are of Tasmanian origin.

Montpelier Retreat is a major pedestrian thoroughfare connecting Salamanca with Battery Point and Sandy Bay.

Opposite the Ciderhouse is a large area currently under redevelopment, the proposal is for 5 storeys of underground parking with 5 levels of mixed use above ground.
