Thanks Ed. Do you like that Lazy Yak?

I like VB and XXXX as well as a whole bunch of craft beers but I was genuinely disgusted when I drank that Lazy Yak

Like is a loaded word. I have found it’s a perfectly acceptable option the times I have tried it, fault free and pleasant. It probably would never be my go-to but I can understand why it it apparently pretty successful.

He’s right. Something’s not with that Lazy Yak.

115 ‘Lazy Yak’ Australian-style Pale Ale… Seriously, who’s voting for this rubbish – they must have the taste buds of Hannibal Lecter. There’s some really good beer in the 1 – 200 but that Lazy Yak is just dishwater after a baked dinner has been washed up in it but less tasty. Maybe the guys in the Heineken factory took some of their rejected beer and then took a leak in it after a eating a kilo of asparagus. After one sip I thought I’d ordered a schooner of the bartender’s morning bowel movement. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Fat Yak, but Lazy Yak should just be called “We couldn’t be stuffed Yak”. Hey, I’m not having a rant about the change in ownership, just that this beer really sucked and here it is in the top 200.

Hey Gavin – Thanks for the comment. However, when you start reading comments like “who’s voting for this rubbish – they must have the taste buds of Hannibal Lecter,” you’re essentially saying that people can’t like what they like or they’re wrong. It is exactly that attitude that made wine such a scary and unapproachable drink for many…a fear of being judged for what they like. Even the modern wine industry is rebelling against such snobbery and this is a great article that looks at whyit is fantastic that you have strong passions for what you like, but don’t expect everyone to thing the same way….On wine. A tragedy.
