Boatrocker to host Ramjet Day 2016

February 25, 2016

logoBoatrocker Brewing Co, operators of Australia’s first Barrel Room and creators of one of Australia’s most highly awarded beers Ramjet (a Whisky barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout) are opening up their Barrel Room/Cellar Door to present Ramjet Day 2016 an exclusive one night only celebration of the Ramjet 2016 vintage release featuring tastings, tours, experiments and Ramjet infused food.

Joining in will be Matt Houghton, founder and head brewer of Boatrocker, for a narrated journey of Ramjet, from grain, to barrel, to glass. Each participant will have an opportunity to make their own Ramjet blend from tasters of un-barreled Ramjet and barreled but unblended Ramjet. Also included is a taster of the incredible Starward Whisky that makes Ramjet taste so good, and you can make your own heady blend of Ramjet 2016!

Boatrocker are renowned for their cellar-before-release ethos of beers, and when they first released Ramjet, they decided to cellar a number of cases for an event such as this. So on the very first Ramjet Day 2016, there will be a very special offering: The chance to vertically taste all vintages of Ramjet, including the super limited Roger Ramjet 2015, plus some never before released variants!

Participants in Ramjet Day 2016 receive an exclusive t-shirt, a bottle of Ramjet Vintage 2015/16, plus the prioritised opportunity to purchase further Ramjet ahead of retail release (limit 1 case per person).

The Ramjet 2016 vintage is weighing in at a hefty 11.4% ABV, and promises to be something of a heavyweight in the ageing stakes.
