Entries are now open for the 2016 Perth Royal Beer Show.
Thirty experienced judges will taste and compare what is anticipated to be a record number of entries for the 10th Perth Royal Beer Show held from Sunday, 24 July to Saturday, 30 July 2016.
Commercial brewers and amateurs will compete for trophies in categories including best lager, ale, stout, reduced-alcohol and wheat beer. Gold, silver and bronze medals are also awarded in each category.
The packaging design class will see entries judged on design, visual communication and overall package. A marketing and design judge will award gold, silver and bronze medals top the winning exhibitors.
Chief judge Hugh Dunn, former Edith Cowan University brewing Science Lecturer and WA brewing guru, will head the panel of Judges.
The 2016 Perth Royal Beer Show awards will be made during a presentation dinner, proudly presented by Cryer Malt, on Friday, 29 July at the Perth Arena . This will be followed by an exclusive invitation only Exhibitors Tasting on Saturday, 30 July.
Public celebrations will take place with an opening party at the Queens Hotel on Friday 8 July upstairs in the Brewers Loft and conclude with a gold medal event at the Sail and Anchor in September.
The Perth Royal Beer Show is presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of WA as part of the Premium Produce Awards.
