We’re looking for a marketing ninja who can take all of the random ideas, robust office debate, and passionate discussion that goes hand in hand with an owner-operated startup brewery and distil this into a supremely powerful message that talks directly to consumers and starts them on their journey to better beer.

But enough about you. Back to us…

We’re a small team of passionate overachievers who get things done. We run The Local Taphouse beer temple. We have another business which runs the GABS Beer, Cider & Food Fest, and about a year ago, we launched Stomping Ground Brewery & Beer Hall, the first business to bring brewing back to the industry’s heartland in 104 years.

This is grassroots stuff. With Stomping Ground, we want to create a brand that reimagines the whole beer experience, through our beer halls, our events… hell, even our beer menus. You can shape the whole thing, rather than follow some set of ‘brand guides’ laid down years ago.

Confession. Sometimes we stand in bottle shop coolrooms and play a game to see which beer packaging stands out to us. If this even remotely makes sense to you, we would highly recommend you apply.

Here’s who we want…

  • Brand ninja. We have a logo and a ‘look and feel’. We need so much more. You need to help shape our brand personality and tone of voice. Kick ass copywriting is essential.
  • Social gun. We’re pretty active on social (if you’re worth your salt, you’ve already checked us out), but we could be better. We need someone who can create content that hits the mark with our audiences, know what’s going on, and plan ahead.
  • Churn & burn. We’re a small team. Which means… no reports (for now). You need to be comfortable with rolling out brief after brief.
  • Organised. We’re talking Google Sheets to map upcoming events and campaigns, tracking campaign performance, and assessment of partnership opportunities.
  • Invested. Imagine this was your small business. How would you market it? If the answer is “with an eye on every dollar and a view to the bigger picture”, you’re in the right place.
  • Proactive. This is an opportunity to get involved with a future craft beer empire in the early gritty stages. You could play a massive role in the brand’s success.
  • While the primary focus of this role will be on Stomping Ground, you will also be responsible for The Local Taphouse and future initiatives.

We anticipate strong interest in this position. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a similar role, a hunger to make this position their own, and a creative approach to their application.

In the end, we just want someone who can create a kick ass beer brand out of Stomping Ground Brewing Co.
