Milestone birthday for Two Birds

Knock on Wood

Two Birds Brewing is releasing its first ever limited release beer in pack format, which is also its first ever barrel aged beer.

Dubbed ‘Knock on Wood’, the beer is a Belgian blonde ale that was aged for seven months in French Oak barrels that have previously held wine.

The release marks Two Birds’ 6th anniversary, a milestone traditionally marked with the gift of wood.

“Knock on Wood is peachy, spicy and complex with vanilla oak notes and a touch of funk,” Two Birds said.

The company is now brewing all its beers entirely in-house at its Spotswood brewery, which was recently expanded to accommodate a packaging line.

Knock on Wood will be released on tap only at The Two Birds Nest – Brewery & Tasting Room on Thursday June 15, with bottles available on Saturday June 17 and then in retail the following week.

This weekend, Two Birds celebrates its sixth birthday at The Nest, with all taps pouring only Two Birds beers and food specials all day. The tap lineup is as follows:

1. Golden
2. Sunset
3. Taco
4. Pale
5. Winter Stout
6. Hop Harvest
7. Minotaur
8. New World ESB
