Dr Brett J. Stubbs

Dr Brett J. Stubbs is an Honorary Research Fellow in the School of History, Philosophy, Religion and Classics at the University of Queensland. An environmental historian and Australia’s leading historian of beer and breweries, Brett is the author of a large number of articles on the history of beer and brewing in Australia, and last year published the definitive history of Queensland’s early breweries, Beer, Mines and Rails (Tankard Books, 2010). His other books include The Gold Digger’s Arms: Pubs of the Upper Clarence River District, New South Wales (Tankard Books, 2009).
