The brewery has announced they are using Australian hops, in particular Tasmanian Hallertau and Cascade, Topaz and Galaxy, which have been added in four additions in the brewing process – early and late kettle, whirlpool and hopback. They say the result is a beer with a fantastic hop aroma combined with a punchy bitterness. There is plenty of malt in the back to balance out the hops including pale ale, Munich, crystal, rye and roast malt. The beer weighs in at 5.4% abv.
Little Creatures Brown Ale is currently pouring at the Fremantle brewery, and will be hitting the rest of the country over the next couple of weeks. A full list of stockists, is on the brewery’s website.
