Get Tapped for Oktoberfest

oktoberfestFollowing the successful Moose & Mountie SpecTAPular which showcased Canada’s finest craft beers, Australia’s best speciality beer establishment hosts its third annual ‘Oktoberfest SpecTAPular’ on Saturday October 9th.

The annual event will continue the tradition of showcasing ten of Germany’s finest beers alongside ten Aussie beers brewed in German styles. All twenty beers will be on tap.

The event takes place from midday until 1am and the cost of entry is a gold coin with 100% of proceeds donated to charity. There will be an Oompah band, slap dancing and German food. A free Tasting Booklet contains information on all the beers and 60ml tasters allow customers to sample a wide range of beers. Capacity is strictly limited, so people are strongly encouraged to arrive early.

The tradition of the ‘ringing of the bells’ signifies the commencement of the SpecTAPular at midday. There are limited kegs of every beer so the bells are also rung as each keg is emptied.

Both Local Taphouses showcase more than 200 different beers on tap each year to the rapidly growing number of discerning beer drinkers.
