Scholarships available to brewing courses

May 11, 2011 by Media Release

The Siebel Institute of Technology and World Brewing Academy are pleased to again offer scholarships to attend our brewing courses.

This year marks a change to offering scholarships for our web-based courses rather than our campus courses, allowing students to participate in our brewing courses without having to take time off work as well as eliminating the costs associated with travel to our campus locations.

We have just updated our scholarship information on the AB Vickers Scholarship and the Lallemand / AHA Scholarship, both of which apply to our web-based Concise Course. We have also added our new World Brewing Academy Associate Program scholarship, which will allow one deserving recipient to complete our advanced-level 3-module program via web-based training.

For complete information on application for these scholarships, visit our web site and for information on all our WBA and Siebel Institute courses, download our course catalog.

Keith Lemcke from the Siebel Institute says the institute is committed to developing the international brewing industry.

“Please let anyone  and everyone know that if they have any questions about building a brewing career, whether it be what books are good to read, courses to take or approaches towards employment, we are here to help,” he said.

“Most of my day is spent answering inquiries from potential students regarding choosing courses and building a brewing career. I can’t say the same rules will apply Down Under as here, but I know building a brewing career takes a lot of heavy lifting (literally) and an ongoing commitment to study.

“Australia needs more trained brewers, and we would love to help create them regardless of if they take our courses.”
