Today on Radio Brews News we catch up with Bill Taylor, chief brewer at Lion (formerly Lion Nathan).
Bill tackles questions across a wide range of subjects including brewing, marketing, brewing quality, his career and his passion for beer and food.
We mention Bill’s 2002 book, Beer and Food: A celebration of flavours, which is no longer in print but Bill kindly let us publish this recipe from it.

Loving the regular updates guys, great interview enjoyed listening to Bill with the slightly more technical discussion on brewing.
I guess when so many brewers have backgrounds in food science/technology/chemistry/engineering it isn’t surprising that there is a fair bit of technical detail. Bill explains it well enough for the tech-nerds to be pleased and the commoner still gets it!
Glad you’re liking the frequency of the podcasts – it puts the pressure on us to deliver… stay tuned for some more crackers coming soon.

Enjoyed the interview with Bill Taylor. Was very interested in his beer cook book but a bit disappointed that it was out of print. Later I remembered I bought a second hand book down at Berrima and when I checked it was Bill’s book. It is excellent. So thanks for the programmes and thanks for the book Bill.
All the best, Barry.
Proud that he brews Dutch VB under licence! If he worked for a competent brewer that was consumer focused and not product focused, he would be proud of his Australian brands. NEW isn’t really anything to be proud of though is it??
