I’m sure I received an invitation to the ‘launch’ of the 4 Heart’s Brewing’s Summer Wheat back in October, so we might have to call this the Brisbane Launch…even so, I have tried the beer and it is perfect for a Brisbane summer so they’ll be no quibbles here.
4 Hearts is the baby of Brisbane homebrewer Wade Curtis who is proving to be extremely efficient at getting the word out about his beer – and good beer – in Brisbane. His brews are small-batch brewed at Brisbane’s other micro powerhouse, Bacchus Brewing, at Capalaba. Between them they are proving to be the thin edge of a wedge that is forcing open a few doors in Brisbane to locally made good beer. Bitter Suite is also the latest entry into Brisbane’s specialty beer venue market and is also rapidly getting a name as a place to while away a few hours enjoying good beer and some very nice food. Watch out for news of another good beer venue in Brisbane very soon too.
4 Degrees Summer Wheat Beer launches this Friday November 25th at Bitter Suite New Farm, 75 Welsby Street, New Farm.
The official launch dinner will be served from 6.30pm.
Brewer Wade Curtis from 4 Hearts Brewing will be hosting the night.
Guests will receive a Summer Wheat Beer on arrival followed by a short introduction on the story behind the beers and brewery. Guests will then enjoy a two course meal:
Entree with Summer Wheat Beer
Poached prawns, pea shoots, marinated mushroom and fig aoili
Main with 4 Degrees Pale Ale
Slow roast eye fillet, cheddar pudding, smoked tomato, jus
3 Beer and 2 Delicious courses for $45 per person.
