Bitter Suite, Summer Wheat

I’m sure I received an invitation to the ‘launch’ of the 4 Heart’s Brewing’s Summer Wheat back in October, so we might have to call this the Brisbane Launch…even so, I have tried the beer and it is perfect for a Brisbane summer so they’ll be no quibbles here.

4 Hearts is the baby of Brisbane homebrewer Wade Curtis who is proving to be extremely efficient at getting the word out about his beer – and good beer – in Brisbane. His brews are small-batch brewed at Brisbane’s other micro powerhouse, Bacchus Brewing, at Capalaba. Between them they are proving to be the thin edge of a wedge that is forcing open a few doors in Brisbane to locally made good beer. Bitter Suite is also the latest entry into Brisbane’s specialty beer venue market and is also rapidly getting a name as a place to while away a few hours enjoying good beer and some very nice food. Watch out for news of another good beer venue in Brisbane very soon too.
