Good Beer Week submissions extended

Someone must have been good this year, as Good Beer Week comes bearing glad tidings: we’re extending the deadline for submissions!

A number of you who have been speaking to us about your proposed events have asked for more time, pointing out quite reasonably that for many of you December is the busiest time of the year. So you’ve got some leeway – right up until Australia Day, in fact. We are set on creating an awesome Aussie festival, after all.

That’s it though – January 26, 2012 – no later. So enjoy Christmas and New Year, by all means, but then get back on it!

For those who’ve already registered, thanks. With the quality of events already submitted – from fine dining joints to tiny bottle shops, from art to ice cream, and from the return of 2011 events to the debut of brand new venues – we could run a good festival now. But we don’t want to settle for a good Good Beer Week – we want it to be great!

Remember, if you’ve any event queries, contact events@goodbeerweek.com; for general enquiries, email info@goodbeerweek.com.

We’ve already got a good idea of what’s happening where and when, as well as which interstate and overseas brewers are likely to be in town, so don’t be afraid to ask.

A quick reminder: already set in stone are the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular at the Royal Exhibition Building on the opening weekend and the Australian International Beer Awards Dinner, a predominantly industry-focused event, on the evening of May 17. The Good Beer Week team will also be holding a daytime international masterclass and a dinner, dates to be confirmed.

See you in May!

Good Beer Week 2012 runs from May 12 to 19, 2012. To register an event, head to www.goodbeerweek.com where you will be asked to sign up as a member before submitting details of your proposed event(s).
