Number eight in the Critics’ Choice Top 100 is the Knappstein Enterprise Brewery Reserve Lager.
Often referred to Australia’s best lager, the Reserve Lager makes another appearance in the Critics’ Choice top 10.
South Australian based writer, Mike Gribble, thinks ‘the infatuation with this enchanting Bavarian styled session beer is centred on New Zealand’s Nelson Sauvin hops.’
The Brewer’s notes describe ‘the elegant balance between Australia’s finest malt and unique sauvin hops that deliver a beer with fruity malt and hop aromas, a gentle warming palate, with a dramatic bitter finish.’
Select venues around the country will be launching the Critics’ Choice by featuring the top 12 beers on March 30.
