Oktoberfest celebrations return to The Monk

The Monk enjoys celebrating events that are all about beer and when these events bring an international flavour it makes them even more exciting. It also provides an opportunity to embrace different cultures and the ways in which they celebrate beer.

The Monk is once again celebrating the German Oktoberfest. The event will run from 22nd September until 7th October 2012.

The Monk’s head chef Bonny Sulistyo has created a special German inspired menu that will be available throughout the event, and The Monk’s Brewers have brewed a traditional German style lager especially for Oktoberfest.

On weekends there will be German food stalls and German entertainment. The Monk will also have event steins available for purchase, and to use as prizes during some fun Oktoberfest games. In order to keep the celebrations as authentic as possible, The Monk will also be selling Lebkuchenherz (gingerbread love hearts) and pretzels, both of which are staple treats at the German Oktoberfest.

The Monk will be transformed during this event and is proud to once again be bringing this popular event to Fremantle. There will be a fun and festive atmosphere; just look for the lederhosen!
