AIBA Volunteer Steward program 2013

beerjudgingExpressions of interest for the Volunteer Steward Program and the Volunteer to Associate Program close on Friday March 1st 2013.

The Volunteer Stewards assist with the Australian International Beer Awards judging process and are an integral element of ensuring a successful awards. The program is also a terrific opportunity to become more involved in the beer community, to meet and engage with key figures in the industry and to get a ‘behind the scenes’ experience of one of the world’s largest beer awards.

A passion for beer is about the only ‘qualification’ required although the ability to competently pour six beers of an identical nature and then carry them on a special no-spill holder over a short distance is preferable. Lunch is provided along with aprons. Volunteers need no special uniforms with black pants and a white shirt all that is required.

In addition, just knowing that you are part of a process that helps to put the Australian beer community on the international map is a bit of a buzz. For the first time, this AIBA will see the judging component carried out over a single week rather than three, allowing for volunteers to plan their involvement more easily.

To express your interest and to get further details contact Mike Conolly 03 9281 7461 michael.conolly@rasv.com.au Judging will take place between Monday April 8 and Friday April 12 2013. Expressions of interest close on March 31st.
