Just two days to go until we find out what you have voted as the Hottest 100 beers of 2012.

Instead of timing the countdown to coincide with the Triple J countdown as was done last year, we will now count down in lots of 10 beers from 12.40pm AEDT on Australia Day before counting down the final 10 beers at five minute intervals from 2.10pm.

The #1 ‘hottest’ Aussie craft beer of 2012 will be announced at 3pm.

You can follow the countdown here at Australian Brews News or at our good friendThe Craft Pint’s place. We will have code on our site that will reveal the winners as per the schedule below. If you’re hanging around the site, you will need to refresh the H100 page to see the latest announcements.

Not only will The Local Taphouse will be showing the countdown on their site as well and, if you’re in Sydney or Melbourne, you can get along to the Taphouse where they will have one keg each of nine of the top ten beers. A bell will be rung in all bars and each will be tapped to coincide with the announcing of their position.

If you can’t get to a computer or Taphouse, the three of us will be Tweeting, Facebooking and generally making ourselves social as we count down the beers. It doesn’t matter where you watch, but just join in the fun as you responsibly enjoy Australian craft beer and being Australian!
