Hi
Just want to make a comment on a beer I recently had which does not seem to have made the 100. The Southern Bay Brewery Southern Ocean Ale. This would have to be up there with Australia’s most underrated beers. Not sure why this isn’t more popular (could be to do with distribution or production quantities).
Anyway, this beer seems to be in the same mould as Stone pacific ale and not that far from Hop Hog. I just find it strange that the top 3 beers were all easy drinking hop driven ales and Southern Ocean Ale didn’t even make the 100.
I have no association with the brewery and am merely an interested onlooker. Having said that, if I was a brewer at Southern Bay Brewery I would be scratching my head as to why this beer doesn’t seem to have made the impact other very similar beers have.
So I say to anyone who has not tasted this beer, do yourself a favour and get your hands on one… It’s the best balanced, flavoursome, sessionable beer I have had in a long time!
Keep at it Southern Bay Brewery… good things will come!
Here’s to getting it in the next 100!
Cheers

Great to see Hop Hog not only in the to ten, but number 1!
