GOOD BEER WEEK AND BWS PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED

Good Beer Week is delighted to announce a new partnership with BWS that will see 40,000 official programs distributed to 100 stores in and around Melbourne.

Ever since its launch in 2011, the festival has set out to spread the word about good beer to a wider audience as well as offering opportunities for existing beer lovers to come together to celebrate the best of the beer world. This distribution deal will help us spread word even further, with programs being sent to every BWS store within an 18km radius of the city.

“The primary goal of Good Beer Week from day one has been to make more people aware of the fantastic changes that are taking place in the beer world and to make it accessible for everyone,” says festival marketing manager Kate Paterson.

“This is why we have split this year’s program into streams – Beer Novice, Beer Lover, Beer Geek, Home Brewer and Foodie. It helps people with all levels of knowledge about beer and all kinds of interests – from live music to gourmet dining, home brewing to simply trying new beers – to find events that are right for them.

“We’re confident that this partnership with BWS will help us get word about good beer out to an even wider audience and encourage more people to give this exciting new world a go.”

BWS is steadily expanding the range of craft beer found in its stores. As such, just like a golden ale or pale ale can act as a gateway beer for drinkers moving away from mainstream lagers, BWS is a fantastic starting place for beer lovers to explore new territory – something Good Beer Week offers, in particular through its Beer Novice stream.

“BWS is excited to be working with Good Beer Week to celebrate the love of good beer,” says BWS marketing manager Fiona Mears. “What better way to explore the world of beer than at a festival that focuses on nothing but this love of the ever expanding beer family with passionate beer lovers.

“At BWS our range of beer is growing as we and our customers are quickly embracing the craft beer revolution. We’re excited to partner with Good Beer Week and the passionate people behind it and we look forward to a continuing partnership in the future – a chance to celebrate beer!”

The third Good Beer Week festival runs from May 18 to 26. It features 140 events at 115 venues across Melbourne and Victoria, from fine dining degustations to tap takeovers, walking tours to meet the brewer events and much more.

Programs are available at all participating venues and at the aforementioned BWS stores from April 29th. You can also view the entire program and buy tickets online at www.goodbeerweek.com.au.
