Top Aussie brews feature at Choice Beer Week in New Zealand

For the first time, the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) will showcase Australia’s top beer entries from the 2013 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) at an exclusive luncheon this Wednesday, 7 August as part of Choice Beer Week in Wellington, New Zealand.

The event will feature 18 Australian breweries and some 50 award-winning beers from the 2013 AIBA where industry guests will part take in a pre-tasting followed by a three-course seasonal menu matched with award-winning Australian beers in a fine dining experience at Logan Brown Restaurant & Bar.

The RASV’s initiative will be the first time the AIBA has featured Australian breweries and their award-winning beers at an international event, offering the Australian beer industry an opportunity to strengthen its profile in export markets.

RASV CEO, Mark O’Sullivan said, “An important pillar of the Australian International Beer Awards is championing its entrants and winners to celebrate their involvement, enhance their industry profile and strengthen export development opportunities.

“Our first event is an important milestone in the Australian International Beer Awards’ 21-year history. It is designed to showcase many of the standout Australian entries from the 2013 AIBA to new audiences and to provide Australian breweries with access into the New Zealand market” said Mr O’Sullivan.
