The Wheaty, Adelaide’s Wheatsheaf Hotel for those not of this planet, is set to turn over 7 of their 13 taps to all beers lupulin-y with a veritable hop garden filled with earthy and bitter and floral and citrusy pleasures. Each Septmeber Jade Flavell and the crew source all the high-powered hop-driven brews they can and set aside the month of September for their Fountain of Hoppiness.

This year, 80 hopsters will make their way through the taps as Beer Nerds from all over resist the urge to mutter breathlessly; “I think I just experienced a Lupulin Threshold Shift…” From next Wednesday, the opening line-up will look a little like this;

2. 961 Black IPA (Handpump)

3. Moor Hoppiness IPA (Glasshopper)

4. Mountain Goat India Red Ale

5. Riverside Brewing 77 IPA

6. Thornbridge Wild Raven BIPA

7. To Øl Dangerously Close To Stupid DIPA

If that is not enough to tempt you in then the follow ups will include beers from Anderson Valley, Beer Here, Birbeck’s and Birra del Borgo, Feral, Lobethal, Moo Brew and more.
