The Happiest Hour has been helping people find the best value food and drink deals since 2004. The website was born when two university students didn’t know where to go when their usual watering hole stopped offering $5 jugs of beer.
Since then, TheHappiestHour.com has evolved into Australia’s most popular pub and venue specials website, embracing changing trends and technology along the way.
To celebrate its 10th birthday, The Happiest Hour is hosting a day of bands, bbq and passive raucousness at Melbourne’s spiritual home of pub rock, The Tote Hotel in Collingwood.
The day will start with the rockabilly wonder kid Adrian Whyte, who will start the band room a-rockin’…cradle style. Followed by Backwood Creatures, the Melbourne-based swamp-blues act that boast a huge loving local following. Then it’s time for Large Number 12s, the cult rock band named after a pizza. How could you not love a band named after a pizza?
Folk favourites, Fiig, a fledgling group, who convey stories like all musicians should, will then offer a change of pace. Then it’s time for Straylove, where modern industrial music bursts from inside a Rock’n’Roll framework. Yes that’s two identical twins you see up there.
The day will also be full of prizes as our food and drink industry friends join the party by giving us free stuff. Thanks to Feral Brewing, Thunder Road Brewing, Lost Coast Brewing and ExperienceIT for the donations.
It’s all-you-can-eat BBQ too (vegetarian options available).
It’s going to be eclectic. It’s going to happy. It’s the Happiest Decade Celebration!
Tickets are just $20 to experience the 5 bands and all-you-can-eat BBQ. Click here to book online.
