Weekend of Darkness returns to The Scratch

THE SCRATCH BAR ‘WEEKEND OF DARKNESS’ RETURNS THIS WEEKEND

On Saturday the 19th July through Sunday the 20th, The Scratch Bar in Milton hosts its annual winter mini-festival “Weekend of Darkness”.

Event poster for The Scratch Weekend of Darkness, July 2014The 2 day tap ‘blackout’ will see 30 of the darkest, densest, most gnarliest ales from QLD, Australia and around the world ooze forth from The Scratch’s taps.

With scheduled tap changes across the weekend, punters have the opportunity to try an impressive array of styles from dark ales to porters, stouts and India black ales.

From the sessional slurper to imperial strength sippers, prepare to have your palate assaulted in the best way possible – lucky punters will have their choice of brews that have been barrel aged, nitrogenated, handpumped, smoked, infused and spooned upon.

Across the weekend the bar will be joined by good friends from Beerkary Bakery and Two Wheels and a Handlebar, who will ensure punters are kept fed with more deliciousness than may be physically possible to handle.

Note: The event is not ticketed, and The Scratch does not take bookings.

Entry is limited to 100 persons at any one time. Each beer will be available in different sizes, starting at 150mL.
