Ballarat Beer Festival: Full band line up, Home Brewed band competition and event MC’s.
The Ballarat Beer Festival are excited to announce the full band line up of Victoria’s original and favourite craft beer festival, plus details of their Home Brewed Band competition, as they have been busily bottling the best of Australia’s vibrant crop of talent to perform on the main stage of the Civic Oval in Ballarat on Australia Day 2015.
Joining the previously announced acts of one of Australia’s best blues musicians Ash Grunwald, plus Melbourne soul act Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes, will be Festival headliners Way Of The Eagle – Jay Skubiszewski’s creative collaboration with Australian golden boy Dan Sultan, and The Cat Empire’s Harry James Angus; the super-charged blues boogie power of Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk; southern stomp roots five piece Buddah In A Chocolate Box, and South Australian rootsy-folk artist Timberwolf.
This eclectic and solid six band line-up of impressive artists, has been brewed up with thoughtful care and the right mix of ingredients, much like craft beer is, and will no doubt ensure every musical palette is catered for at Ballarat’s City Oval on Australia Day 2015.
The Festival Directors are particularly excited to be announcing that one lucky band, plucked from their newly added Home Brewed Band competition will play alongside this crème de la crème of Australian talent. Artist/s have until 7th of November to submit their original music online for consideration by the Directors whom will decide on a shortlist of five finalists who go on to perform in front of a live audience and expert panel of Australian music industry judges at The Eastern Hotel in Ballarat on 15th November.
The winning artist/s perform a 45-minute set on the main stage of the 2015 Ballarat Beer Festival, and enjoy the honour of performing on the bill which contains some of Australia’s most acclaimed performers, including the aforementioned Dan Sultan, Harry James Angus and Ash Grunwald.
