Using all American hops – Chinook, Mosaic, Cascade, Citra and Centennial – Mountain Goat Pale Ale exhibits stonefruit and pine flavour and aroma, the brewer said.
“We’ve been tinkering with this one for a while now, it’s been known as North St Pale Ale, on tap only at our bar, but we’re now ready for it to make its way beyond our four walls,” Mountain Goat said.
The Pale Ale will replace the India Pale Ale in the brewer’s core range, as foreshadowed last month by co-founder Cam Hines.
Kegs of the beer will be available nationally from August 27. It will also be released in 330ml bottles on October 1, the first of two seasonal batches.
