Coopers launches Father’s Day pack

TC Selection 6PackCoopers Brewery is releasing a Thomas Cooper’s Selection mixed six pack as the perfect gift for beer loving dads.

The special packs willencourage further trial ofCelebration Ale and Artisan Reserve, which have performed steadily since their launch, Coopers director of sales and marketing, Cam Pearce, told Australian Brews News.

“It’s good in Thomas Cooper’s Selection having an ale in Celebration Ale and also having a lager style, the Pilsner as well,” he said.

“Celebration went very well out of our 150th and it’s sort of found a steady base but we want to keep on growing it.

“Artisan’s just starting to get its popularity, so we want to keep supporting those products,” said Pearce.

Available in the lead-up to Father’s Day on Sunday September 6, the pack includes:

  • 2 x Coopers Celebration Ale – a bold ale created to mark Coopers’ 150th anniversary in 2012. Generous use of crystal malt displays a deep copper to ruby red colour, with the strong malt flavour balanced by Pride of Ringwood, Nelson Sauvin and Centennial hops.
  • 2 x Coopers Artisan Reserve – an all-malt Pilsner crafted with Hallertau Tradition and Hallertau Hersbrucher hop varieties, both sourced from Bavaria, as well as two other confidential hops varieties.
  • 2 x Coopers Extra Strong Vintage Ale 2015 – a beer that should need no introduction. This year’s iteration has a hop bill that is led by debutante Melba, which imparts a spectrum of stone-fruit and citrus flavours. The other hop varieties are Ella, Vic Secret, Styrian Goldings and Cascade.

Pearcesaid that putting them out together in the same pack “brings them together as a bit of a sub-family” of premium craft beers within the Coopers range.

Hesaid that at some stage the Selection range may be expanded and there isno shortage of ideas from the brewers about the next candidate for inclusion.

“That’s the great joy about Coopers, the brewer is front and centre in terms of beer development and ideas,” he said.

“We’ve got Tim Cooper who is managing director and chief brewer, that counts for a lot I think.”

With an RRP of $25, the Thomas Cooper’s Selection six pack will be available through independent retailers, including selected Thirsty Camel, Sip n Save, Porter’s Liquor, Chambers Cellars, Bottlemart, Cellarbrations, Liquor Stax, Local Liquor, Liquor Legends, Little Bottler and Super Cellars outlets.
