Brewsvegas is a grass roots, community minded celebration of Brisbane’s craft beer culture set to run from the 11th to the 20th of March, 2016. Brewsvegas promotes innovation, creativity and collaboration to help nurture and grow a local beer scene already replete with passionate contributors.
Now in the festival’s third year Brewsvegas 2016 will span 87 events across over 50 venues all over the city. The variety of events are a credit to the creativity and passion of Brisbane’s good beer scene. There truly is something for every taste bud, every budget, every day and every night of the week. There are all the usual suspects but also a plethora of venues supporting craft beer who have their own niche and put their own angle on the beautiful beverage.
The week kicks off with the Launch Party at Wandering Cooks on Friday, March 11th, 2016. Based in South Brisbane, Wandering Cooks is a food business incubator and the perfect place to host such an event. A lineup of local beers and food trucks make it a great opportunity to get together as a community over a fresh beer and some tasty tucker before the biggest week in the Brisbane beer calendar.
The next day, Brewsvegas begins. Many ticketed events will sell out so it’s critical to get in early, but there are also plenty of free and non ticketed events to enjoy at your whim. Get your hands on the program or head to the website and start planning your Brewsvegas week ASAP to avoid disappointment.
The team behind Brewsvegas hail from some of Brisbane’s smallest and biggest craft beer venues, restaurants and breweries. A not for profit organisation, Brewsvegas’ primary aim is to introduce as many people as possible to the joy of better beer, and to celebrate the scene serving that purpose every day of the year.
Brewsvegas – your bars, your beer.
