Coopers releasing India Pale Ale

Coopers Brewery is poised to embark on a national rollout of a draught-only India Pale Ale to be known as ‘Brew A’.

Brew A was the code name given by Coopers founder Thomas Cooper to the company’s first ever brew, back in 1862.

The American-style IPA has been developed in response to publican demand for some on-premise exclusive beers.

A limited run of 1500 kegs, the beer will be launched at the GABS Beer, Cider &Food Fest in Melbourne next Friday May 20.

Hopped with the Enigma variety from Australia and Cascade from the US, Brew A is six per cent ABV and registers 60 IBUs (International Bitterness Units).
