Otway Brewing in pub deal

August 5, 2016 by James Atkinson

Prickly Moses maker Otway Brewing is part of a consortium that has acquired The Esplanade Hotel in Queenscliff, Victoria.

The pub will be renamed The Queenscliff Brewhouse, following a similar model implemented by the team in March 2015 at The Great Ocean Road Brewhouse in Apollo Bay.

“There are some things which we hope to achieve before Christmas, like increasing the number of taps from eight to 20 in the main bar, and other plans which will unfold over the coming years,” commented director Andrew Noseda.

“As in Apollo Bay, we plan to open a tasting room in Queenscliff where people can try local beer, wine and produce and experience what the region has to offer.”

The new owners hope to take possession of the hotel in August.
