Thirty venues in the eastern states have introduced Bond Brothers, CUB’s new flavoured pods system for beer.
Bond Brothers comes in five natural flavours: Pink grapefruit, honey, lime, raspberry and apple.
They are infused into a contemporary lager via a pod system, then poured from a single tap “for a refreshing twist on beer”, according to CUB marketing director Richard Oppy.
In the below interview with 9 News, Oppy likens Bond Brothers to the Nespresso coffee system, although CUB’s beer pods are apparently able to be recycled.
He says Bond Brothers system was developed in response to consumer demand for increased variety in beer styles and flavours, as well as publicans seeking to offer something different.
“With so many options for entertainment, pubs need to provide new and different experiences for consumers in order to compete,” Oppy says.
“The innovation by CUB provides some excitement and theatre for drinkers, while delivering a brew which is essentially made for people looking for something different or trying beer for the first time.“
