Cryermalt has teamed up with Weyermann Specialty Malts to give one of its Australian customers the trip of a lifetime.
Weyermann has invited one lucky Australian brewer to its headquarters in Bamberg Germany to brew a collaboration beer with brewmaster Günther Thömmes.
The prize will also include a tour of Weyermann Specialty Malts, some Bamberg sightseeing, and will cover economy flights, train transfers to Bamberg and five nights’ accommodation.
The competition marks the dual 25th anniversaries of Cryermalt and the Australian International Beer Awards in 2017.
It is open to Australian breweries that have entered a minimum of three beers into the 2017 Australian International Beer Awards.
Of these three beers, a minimum of two containing Weyermann malt must obtain a medal at the awards on Thursday May 18.
There are also bonus points available for brewers who use social media to creatively showcase Weyermann malt. An example of this is the above video by Joseph Wood of Liberty Brewing, New Zealand’s winner in 2016.
Full details on the competition and its terms and conditions are available on the Cryermalt website.
Entries will close on at midnight on May 26, with the winner to be announced on Thursday June 1.
