Batch and New England collaborate

July 7, 2017 by James Atkinson

Batch and New England’s new Red and White

Batch Brewing and New England Brewing Co have collaborated for the second time to create two separate beers meant to be enjoyed together.

Last year the breweries created two beers that once layered together created a ‘Black and Gold’ combination, a play on the black and tan.

“This year we’re doing that again, only it’s Red and White, the Red being a cherry sour from Batch and the White being a vanilla wheat beer from New England,” Batch’s Andrew Fineran said.

“The tagline is ‘tart and sweet for a blended treat’ and suggests to punters to combine the two.

“The original idea for this year came from the idea of sweet and sour, which we’ve stuck to, but have changed the wording as sweet and sour denotes that it might taste like the Chinese food dish… which it will not!”

Red and White is available at selected venues in New South Wales.
