4 Pines Bar to open at SCG

The 4 Pines Bar opens Friday April 20

A new beer bar from 4 Pines Brewing Company will launch at the SCG for the Sydney Swans v Adelaide Crows game on Friday, April 20.

The 4 Pines Bar is located within the food court on level one of the MA Noble, Don Bradman and Dally Messenger Stand, pouring beers including 4 Pines Kolsch, Pale Ale and Summer Ale as well as Brookvale Union Ginger Beer.

“We’re stoked. One of the things that we really pride ourselves on is the customer experience with our venue footprint, and this is just another opportunity to wow people,” 4 Pines co-founder Jaron Mitchell told Brews News.

The 4 Pines SCG bar features re-purposed timber and mirrors the feel of the brewery’s other Sydney venues, 4 Pines Manly, 4 Pines Newport and Brookvale’s Truck Bar. The outlet is decorated with images from 4 Pines’ home of the Northern Beaches.

He said the SCG bar was an opportunity that had presented itself to 4 Pines as a result of the company’s acquisition by AB InBev, which has a beer supply contract with the SCG through its local subsidiary CUB.

The bar will have eight taps including 4 Pines Kolsch, Pale Ale and Summer Ale

“There’s just umpteen amounts of opportunities that are presenting themselves now, we just keep seeing wins,” said Mitchell.

The 4 Pines Bar is on level one and completely distinct from the Brewers Pavilion bar upstairs, which was originally a Matilda Bay activation but now pours a mixture of beers from CUB’s craft portfolio, including 4 Pines. The Manly brewery’s beers will also be available from selected public bars around the SCG.

Mitchell said that at this stage, the bar will not be pouring higher ABV 4 Pines beers such as the In Season IPA, but he hinted that there may be some new beers set to premiere at the launch on April 20.

SCG members can order their favourite 4 Pines beer from their seat via the SCG App and collect from a priority line.
