Beer InCider Experience brings brews, chews and bands to Brisbane

The fifth annual Beer InCider Experience is set to have Brisbane frothing as over 60 independent breweries line up to share their offerings at Brisbane Showgrounds from Friday September 21 to Saturday September 22.

Tickets are now on sale for the unique beer, cider, music and food festival which provides festival goers an opportunity to sample the goods from local and independent breweries while enjoying some of Australia’s favourite music performers topped off with a tasty food offering.

Only the finest breweries and cideries make it to the Beer InCider Experience where guests can purchase tasters of beers and ciders, and chat with the brewers. Pots and cans will also be available to purchase along with wine and cocktail options to suit all tastes.

Beer InCider Experience founder Martin Keetels said the tasting event provides Brisbanites with a unique opportunity to enjoy all their favourite things in one location.

“The Beer InCider Experience handpicks the best beer, cider, music, art and food to create an epic festival,” Keetels said.

“Not only will this year’s event have more breweries than ever before, it will also have more festival-exclusive brews and collaborations.”

This year, one of the headliners The Smith Street Band has teamed up with Melbourne’s Fixation Brewing Co. to create their very own exclusive brew, The Lee Hartney Experience, Poolside IPA.

The beerification of the band’s lead guitarist promises to be a full flavoured, easy-drinking brew.

Brissy locals, The Jungle Giants will join The Smith Street Band as headline acts, with the music line up also including Tired Lion, Bad//Dreems, Press Club, Bugs, Bris182, Sweater Curse and more bands to be announced shortly.

There will be plenty of entertainment to support the main stage including intriguing roaming entertainers, games, and Brisbane’s biggest handball game*. (*Probably).

This year’s event will also feature a ping pong arena so multiple games can take place at once.

The true beer aficionado will be satisfied with the opportunity to meet many of the brewers in person to discuss the intricate details that produced the fruits of their labour. If that’s not enough beer lovers can grab a seat at the Brewer Stage presented by Aether Brewing for a program of Q&A sessions and lively debates.

Punters will not go hungry with Brisbane’s favourite food trucks in attendance dishing up the perfect burger, pizza or BBQ to suit your beverage. Plus, in a Beer InCider first, some of Brisbane’s fave restaurants will be popping up to serve their most famous dishes.

First release tickets have sold out, second release are on sale now for $45 +BF for the weekend or $35 +BF for a single day. Third release will be announced later date. Ticket includes 2018 festival guide and free transport on any Translink bus or Queensland Rail City Network train service (excludes Airtrain).
