CUB names new CEO

Carlton & United Breweries has moved quickly to name its new CEO, after parent ABInBev announced a regional reorganisation last week.

Peter Filipovic will replace Jan Craps, who was named Zone President for the company’s Asia Pacific region, taking up the new position in Shanghai on 1 January 2019. Craps will become CUB’s Executive Chairman.

Melbourne born Filipovic has worked for CUB for 21 years, starting as a graduate at the brewery. He has held senior roles in finance and sales before he was appointed as the Australian Business Unit President in 2016.

Filipovic said he is looking forward to continuing CUB’s momentum.

“As always, our customers and consumers will continue to come first. We’ve been a successful company since 1832 by ensuring our focus is on delivering quality and value to our customers and consumers throughout Australia,” he said.

Craps, under whose leadership CUB purchased 4 Pines and Pirate Life and commenced upgrading Cascade Brewery, said he is proud that CUB has firmly established itself as “Australia’s leading brewer”.

Filipovic takes up the role on 1 January.
