Victorian High Country brewery collaboration

September 10, 2018 by Megan Sahli

Following the growing popularity of the emerging Brut IPA style, eight Victorian High Country brewers will brew a Prosecco-style IPA, when they once again band together for what will be their sixth annual collaboration brew.

A nod to the Prosecco-producing wine region of the local King Valley, the brewers will craft an especially dry IPA.

The eight breweries that will join forces on Tuesday, September 18, are King River Brewing, Black Dog Brewery, Blizzard Brewery, Bridge Road Brewers, Bright Brewery, Rutherglen Brewery, Social Bandit Brewing Company and Sweetwater Brewing Company.

The collaborative brew is said to showcase the High Country’s skill for producing excellent local wine and beer.

The new brew will be produced and sold under the High Country Brewery Trail label, Rule #47 and should be released before Christmas.

The High Country Brewery Trail (link on Brews News) continues to expand as more breweries are established in all corners of north-east Victoria. The Trail is designed to offer visitors a way to explore the scenery and flavours of the region.

The latest brewery to join the Trail, King River Brewing, will be hosting the collaboration event, and is located at 4515 Wangaratta-Whitfield Road, Whitfield VIC 3733.
