Melbourne’s Moon Dog Craft Brewery issued a product recall notice last Friday for its Son of a Plum 330ml bottles with best before dates 15/08/2019, 16/08/2019 and 06/09/2019.
The brewery advised the public in a Facebook post and on its website that this product batch “may have experienced a secondary fermentation in the bottle causing excessive carbonation and a risk that removal of the bottle cap could potentially result in injury”.
“Customers should not open the bottles and should instead return the product to the place of purchase, or to the Moon Dog brewery, for a full refund,” the post continued.
Brews News understands that venues in Melbourne have been contacted by the City of Melbourne Department of Health about the recall.
Moon Dog has asked customers to contact the brewery on 03 9428 2307 or [email protected] for any queries relating to the recall.
