Matso’s Broome Brewery to refresh core range

Good Drinks is excited to announce it’s refreshing its Matso’s Broome Brewery product range in 2019.

“Angry Ranga” will be renamed “Matso’s Chilli Ginger Beer” and relaunched in new packaging as part of the core range, while the Mango IPA will continue as a winter seasonal release, available in a new look pack later this year.

Good Drinks will continue to back Matso’s top performing beers, with increased investment and focus behind its most popular products; Ginger Beer, Mango Beer and Chilli Ginger Beer (formerly Angry Ranga), and two seasonal releases, Chilli Beer and Mango IPA.

Matso’s Ginger Beer and Matso’s Mango Beer have seen 20 per cent growth over the last two months, under the Good Drinks banner.

Good Drinks will make significant investments in raising the profile of the Matso’s brand and products across Australia in FY19 through above the line advertising as well as sampling, instore, digital and social media campaigns. The decision will focus Matso’s around its heritage of refreshing, fun and flavour filled beers that help people escape the ordinary.

Retiring from the range will be products including Hit the Toad Lager, Lychee Beer, Bishop’s Best Dark Lager and Session Ale. These retirements provide Matso’s with the opportunity to deliver greater focus on our fun and fruit flavoured products, while allowing the brewery to focus on innovation, with two new products expected to be launched in 2019.

This comes as Matso’s Mango Beer has relaunched with a fresh new look. The packaging and labelling has been updated to reflect the tropical and fruity characteristics of the product. The Mango Beer itself is now unfiltered for fuller flavour, with juice sourced from Australian mangoes.

Product retirement dates:

  • Hit the Toad – Early April 2019
  • Lychee Beer – Late April 2019
  • Bishop’s Best – Late April 2019
  • Session Ale – July 2019
