New Beers Wrap

SWYD Modern IPA | Ballistic Beer Co

Ballistic Beer Co has released the next beer in its Sleep When Your Dead series, a Modern IPA.

At 7.2% abv, Ballistic’s brewers say the beer has been triple dry hopped, with the most hops they have ever used in a beer.

Citra, Mosaic, Vic Secret and Chinook hops are in the mix along with Pils, Wheat, Carapils and Dextrose malt.

It will be available for eight weeks only, until April 4th.

Salty Sea Dog IPA | Revel Brewing Co

The Salty Sea Dog Unsalted IPA is the latest release from Revel Brewing Co.

It was brewed with desalinated water, which Revel says could be the future of brewing in drought-stricken Australia.

Hopped with Strata, Nelson Sauvin and Engima for a defined bitterness and tropical notes.

At 6.2% abv, it is brewed with US ale yeast and Pale and Munich malt.

Purity Session IPA | Prancing Pony Brewing Company

Prancing Pony Brewing Company have teamed up with the UK’s Purity Brewing Company for the release of Purity Session IPA.

It has notes of grapefruit, orange peel and tropical breakfast juice balanced with a moderate bitterness, according to Prancing Pony.

The artwork on the can was designed by two final year students from Birmingham School of Art.

Several venues Australia wide will be tapping the beer for the first time today (February 14th).

Bright Sour | Bright Brewery

New cans of Bright Sour from Bright Brewery have landed.

At 3.5% Bright say the mid-strength Sour Ale is brewed to be easy-drinking with a refreshingly zesty flavour.

It is available now in cans and on tap at the Bright Brewery as well as select stockists.

Marion | BentSpoke Brewing Co

BentSpoke Brewing Co‘s Marion has been brewed to celebrate International Women’s Day, inspired by the “alewives”, women who were almost solely responsible for beer making in days gone by.

The beer is an as yet unrevealed style but features The Pink Boots Society’s Hop Blend.

“This beer celebrates the lesser known contributions of women,” according to Tracy Margrain, co-owner and brewer.

“With that in mind, we’ve decided to name the beer Marion, after Marion Mahony Griffin, the architect who helped shape Canberra, but is often forgotten in the city’s narrative.”

BentSpoke’s International Women’s Day beer will launch at the brewpub on Sunday, 8th March.

XPA | Two Bays Brewing Co

Two Bays Brewing Co has announced that its XPA has been added to their core range of gluten-free beers.

Brewed with galaxy hops for a subtle citrus flavour, the beer bridges the gap between the Two Bays’ Pale Ale and IPA, it said.

At 5% abv, the Two Bays XPA can now be found year-round.
