Two Birds and Tough Mudder join forces for 2019
The team at Australia’s first female-owned brewery, Two Birds Brewing, have never been afraid of getting their hands dirty – and now they’re going to prove it as the official beer partner of Tough Mudder Australia 2019.
With the season opener only a week away in Woodford QLD on May 18, Mudders might just have the inspiration they need to get through the last of their preparation, knowing they’ll have a cold Two Birds beer waiting for them at the finish line.
With Tough Mudder a longtime supporter of community, winning spirit and a healthy dose of grit, the match-up is a natural fit for Two Birds, says co-owner Danielle Allen.
“We’ve always been passionate about lifting up those who work hard to achieve and don’t take themselves too seriously as they do it!
“We take pride in these very qualities in our Two Birds flock, so to work closely with Tough Mudder in 2019 and celebrate people who are driven to tackle obstacles and make it across the finish line is really exciting.”
Tough Mudder Australia spokesperson Marcus Gale said the renowned event series is thrilled to team up with Two Birds.
“We’re excited to partner with Two Birds Brewing in 2019, allowing all our Mudder entrants to enjoy one of the best well-deserved beers at the end of the day, across both the 5km and 16km Classic events,” Mr Gale said.
“Two Birds have curated a collection of beers that they’ll roll out at Tough Mudder events in 2019, including ‘The Trail Blazer’ a nod to our more than 30,000 participants who embrace their passion and blaze their own trail, pushing themselves to achieve results they should be proud of.”
The new union furthers Two Birds’ support for teamwork and fitness, with successful partnerships with AFLW’s Western Bulldogs and within the Australian Baseball League already under its wing.
Tough Mudder participants will be able to enjoy the Two Birds Pale and Trail Blazer Aussie Lager in a can as they cross the finish line, along with other Two Birds favourites joining the line up at the official bars at Tough Mudder South East Queensland, Melbourne and Sydney.
