Spend the day as a Stone & Wood Brewer

Beer-lovers can now spend a day in the life of a Stone & Wood brewer, as part of the independent Northern Rivers brewery’s new immersive experience that gets participants malting, mashing and brewing Stone & Wood beer for a day.

Launching just after Father’s Day on Thursday 5 September, the Stone & Wood Brew Experience invites those seeking a deeper understanding of beer and the brewing industry to an all-inclusive day of brewing a Stone & Wood all-year or Pilot Batch beer.

With groups limited to four pax and guided by two Stone & Wood crew members, participants also enjoy a brewery tour, Cicerone-guided sensory training, tastings poured straight from the tank and casual information sessions on Stone & Wood’s story and approach to conscious business.

Besides the hands-on brewing activities, packages include transfer from Byron Bay CBD, breakfast, lunch at the brewery’s canteen, beers throughout the day and a pub crawl through Byron town, plus an exclusive merch pack on conclusion.

Stone & Wood Tasting Room manager Cale Watts said the new offering was designed for aficionados looking for the ‘next step’ in beer experiences.

“People tell us all the time that to spend a day in a working brewery is on their bucket list,” Cale said.

“We’re excited to make that possible for them here in Byron Bay with a Brew Experience that shares all there is to learn, discover and taste about Stone & Wood.”

Priced at $350 per person, the Stone & Wood Brew Experience will run every fortnight from Thursday 5 September.

Those seeking more information and bookings for the Stone & Wood Brew Experience are encouraged to contact Stone & Wood Brewing at (02) 6685 5173 or visit www.stoneandwood.com.au/brewery-tours.
