Brews and Barbie Bash in the CBD

November 4, 2019 by Media Release

Brews and Barbie

The team behind the Brews and Barbie Bash are excited to be bringing this great event into the middle of Toowoomba’s CBD for the first time.

The newly refurbished Railway Goods Shed on Victoria Street will provide the ultimate location for a celebration of all things brewed and barbequed this Saturday, 9th November from 12 noon to 9 pm.

Event organiser Dave Schenk says the decision to move the event from its original location at the Toowoomba Show Grounds is about making it easily accessible for attendees.

“This fantastic event will have a new home at the Railway Goods Shed and we are excited to be hosting the first major public event in this awesome space”, said Dave.

Entry tickets are available for purchase online now at a discounted price, or they will be available on the door on Saturday. Tickets include one drink from a top-quality line up of vendors including local brewery 4 Brothers and out-of-towners like Slipstream Brewing Co, Archer Brewing and Aether Brewing.

Don’t despair non-beer drinkers – the team have you covered with Preston Peak and Riversands wineries too. There’s also a VIP ticket option, with reserved seating, table service drinks and food for a three-hour session.

Delicious BBQ eats will be served up all afternoon by a range of foodies including slow cooked and flame grilled meats, ribs and pizzas. And yes, there will be options for the non-meat eaters too!

Barbeque demos, masterclasses and competitions will run all afternoon, with great live music provided by local acts and finishing with the always popular Preserve the Moose rocking on from 6pm-9pm. Attendees are also encouraged to bring along their best beard – decorated or otherwise – and enter the Best Beer’d comp with proceeds going to Movember. And there will be a prize for the Loudest Shirt onsite too.

This event promises to be a heap of fun, with delicious eats, great beverages and lots of awesome entertainment. Grab your mates, grab your tickets and get amongst it on Saturday!
